Conferência “Commedia dell'Arte” By Ferruccio Soleri
3rd September 2006 – 6.30pm
The Commedia dell'Arte is the origin of the school that has commonly been called: “Italian portrayal”. This infers a particular style of acting according to italian tradition that mixes improvisation and the total use of the body and the voice.
The “Commedia dell'Arte” is performed with a mask and was created in the town squares where the people welcomed it with great enthusiasm because it showed their daily problems with mockery and taken to the extreme of ridiculousness.
This style of acting has been developed and perfected over the years making the actors true virtuosos of the voice, pantomime, singing and acrobatics.
