The new temporary exhibition at the Museu da Marioneta explores the universe of LAIKA Studios and unveils the behind-the-scenes magic of stop-motion animation. This marks the 18th exhibition in partnership with MONSTRA | Lisbon Animation Festival.
FRAME x FRAME is an immersive journey into LAIKA Studios’ stop-motion animation world, where art and science merge to push the boundaries of animated filmmaking. More than just an exhibition, it is a tribute to the meticulous and collaborative craftsmanship of the many hands that bring LAIKA’s award-winning films to life, frame by frame.
In this showcase, each film is represented by a single frame, carefully chosen to reveal the behind-the-scenes process and the intricate stages of producing a stop-motion feature. A rare glimpse into the demanding artistic and technical work that turns these masterpieces into reality.
