PUPPETS IN FILMS:DEFA Studio (EX) RDA MONSTRA - Animated Film Festival
The exhibition “Puppet in Films” documents the creative skills and diversity of artistic styles of the old animation studio DEFA, which existed in Dresden between 1955 and 1990. Arranged in a minimalist way, eleven different scenarios put in contact different characters. Each window shows the process of creating a puppet, from the initial design, through the mold until the final figure. The oldest puppet, set forth in this exhibition, has over 50 years of age.”Puppet Animation” brings the world of animation to life for both adults and children and offers a glimpse into the worlds of fairy tales and fables of Europe.
